The function of the PDF Scraper Rings Profile A5 is to prevent dust, dirt, grains of sand, or swarf from penetrating into the dynamic rod guidance. This is achieved by a special design which largely prevents the development of chamfers, protects the guiding parts and extends the service life of the seals. This scraper ring Profile A5 requires no screw-rings or brackets for installation. No close tolerances are necessary and no metal inserts. The scraper is supplied as a continuous ring and can be mounted into the groove recess. The polyurethane compound ensures excellent properties with regard to dry run, increased wear-resistance and extended storage life due to good resistance against ozone and radiation caused by weather conditions. Any pressure loads on the back of the ring should be avoided.

Application:

Profile A5 is designed for axially operated fords in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, plungers, and rod guides.
