Glyd Ring
O.D. Sealing
The Glyd Ring has successfully used for decades as a very effective and reliable low frictional seal. These are produced with an interference fit which together with the squeeze of the O-Ring ensures a good sealing effect even at low pressure. At higher system pressures, the O-Ring is energized by the fluid, pushing the Glyd Ring against the sealing face with increased force. The geometry of the Glyd Ring ensures a good static sealing and allows the lubricating hydrodynamic oil film to be built under the seal in reciprocating applications.

Applications:
Material: Bronze (T46)
Used as a standard material for hydraulics, it offers high compressive strength, good sliding and wear properties, and good extrusion resistance. Typically a greyish to dark brown color.
