Wiper rings are of extreme importance for the protection of the critical hydraulic equipment parts. Penetrating dirt, not only deteriorates the sealing rings, but can also cause considerable wear on guides and piston rods. In addition the function of control valves and pumps may be influenced by foreign matter penetrating into the hydraulic fluid. At worst these units may be damaged. The object of the wiper is to remove any dirt from the piston rod, without destroying the oil film which is so necessary for lubrication.
Wiper ring 2512 is a standard type. It is equivalent in its working use to style 2511(P6) and differs only in that it has an external metallic cage which allows it to be a press fit into an open housing.
Application:
Suitable for use with hydraulic oil, water and emulsions.
