N1/N2 (Piston Seal Sets)

The piston sealing set profile N1/N2 consists of a fabric reinforced rubber U-cup (N1) and a header ring (N2). The rings with square cross-section are well suited for the sealing of pistons with open grooves whereas rings with rectangular profile are for piston rod seals. In these cases a rubber header ring is used to preload the U-ring lips against the surface to be sealed. Header rings in plastic or metal may be used as a piston seal.

Application:

Preferable used for double-acting pistons in hydraulic cylinders.
