SIM Style Compact Seals

The SIM style is a three part compact seal consisting of a fabric reinforced elastomeric sealing body and two guide/backup rings as gap closing elements.

Applications:

The SIM compact seal is used as a piston seal for use in mining hydraulics, marine hydraulics, and it can also be used in medium and heavy mobile hydraulics.

Materials:

The inner sealing element is made of nitrile rubber (NBR) which is extremely wear-resistant and has a low compression set and high tensile strength. The guide/back-up rings are made from polyoxymethylene.

Operating Ranges:

Pressure Range: up to 50MPa (500 bar)

Temperature Range: -30°C - +100°C (-22°F - +212°F)

Speed: up to 0.5 m/s

Operating Media: Hydraulic fluids and mineral oils.
