Polyacrylate Oring
ACM
Shore A Description:
The hardness of rubber compounds is measured by the Shore A durometer; the higher the durometer, the harder the compound. Softer compounds stretch easier and seal better on rough surfaces. Harder compounds offer greater abrasion resistance and resistance to extrusion.
60 Shore A is softer than 70
70 Shore A is the standard
90 Short A is very stiff
Specs:
Heat resistance is slightly superior to standard nitrile compounds, but low temperature, compression set and water resistance are inferior.
Material:
ACM (Polyacrylate)
Standard Service Temperature: 0°F - +300°F
Application:
Automatic Transmission Fluids, Oxidation Resistant, Petroleum Oils, Flex Cracking Resistant.
Due to the excellent resistance to oil, ATF, oxidation and flex cracking, this material is utilized in transmission and power steering applications.
Not Compatible With: Hot Water, Brake Fluids, Low Temperature, Phosphate Esters
