MK (Piston Seals)

The piston seal profile MK is a sealing element with integrated guiding and cushioning buffers. This seal-guide element can be used both on pistons or without a permanent magnet. When used in magnetic pistons, the seal-guide element encapsulates the permanent magnet. MK seals offer the following benefits when used in pneumatic cylinders:

• The specially designed sealing lip ensures high functional reliability and reduces friction.

• The sealing element -performs the guiding function in the cylinder. Due to its geometry, however, MK is not suitable for absorbing major radial forces or for use in long-stroke pistons.

• Pressure relief grooves, starting at a diameter of 32mm ensure optimal function.

• Cushioning buffers on the piston side with integrated ventilation ducts provide for mechanical cushioning of the cylinders.

• Optimal sealing effect on the piston side thanks to special geometry of the end cushioning.

• Long service life thanks to use of proven polyurethane compounds.

• Suitable for use in dry and oil-lubricated air.

• Asymmetrical retention groove ensures optimal tight fit on the piston.

• Simple snap-in assembly by means of retention beads.

• Reduced number of assembly components thanks to integration of sealing, guiding, and cushioning functions in one single element.

• Minimum space requirements.
